On & Off-Leash Board and Train
Our On & Off-Leash Board and Train Program is designed to take your dog’s obedience to the next level—both on and off leash. Over the course of a minimum of four weeks, your dog will learn essential commands while working to eliminate problem behaviors that often hold owners back from truly enjoying their canine companions.
Whether you’re an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking and camping, or a pet parent struggling with behavioral issues at home, this program is built to give you a more reliable, well-mannered dog in every environment.
Commands Your Dog Will Learn:
- Place: Teach your dog to go to a designated spot and stay there until released. Whether it’s their bed, a crate, the car, or a specific place in the yard, the place command is great for when you’re entertaining guests, cleaning, or simply need your dog to settle down.
- Sit: A foundational obedience command that teaches your dog to sit and wait calmly until released. This command builds impulse control and focus.
- Down: Unlike place, down can be used in any location, helping your dog remain calm and settled wherever you are. We’ll guide you through the steps to achieve a consistent, reliable down.
- Come: One of the most important commands your dog can learn. Whether it’s calling them back from the backyard or out of harm’s way, a strong recall can be life-saving. This command is practiced extensively throughout the program.
- Loose Leash Walking & Heel: Your dog will learn to walk politely on a leash without pulling. We’ll also teach heel, a more structured version where your dog walks closely beside you in a calm, focused state. Both walking styles include training for an implied sit when stopping.
- Range Work: This off-leash portion teaches your dog how to stay within a designated distance, maintaining focus and responsiveness even when free to roam.
- Stay: Stay is implied to all of our static commands with the utilization of the release command that we will teach your dog.

Paul has changed our life in the best way possible. He really does speak “dog”. During our first conversation he gave us invaluable tips on our upcoming trip since our dogs didn’t get along the best. Now our dogs know how to walk on a leach, heal, stop when I stop, sit, place, and down. Paul really has given us our home and life back.

We recommend that people enroll in our puppy development courses as early as possible to take advantage of that crucial state of 8 to 16 weeks when the pups are the most impressionable. Getting professional help at this young age significantly lowers the risk of bad behaviors forming and causing problems later on in the training pipeline!
That answer depends on the reason for training. If your dog is scared of new places, we recommend in-facility training since we cover the problem for the call in the training.
