OUR MISSION & TEAM MEMBERS

Our mission is to bridge the gap between how we, as humans, perceive the world around us and how our canine partners see it.

We do this by building meaningful bonds with our pets and teaching pet owners how animals perceive their own environment.

steve

trainer

Steve has been part of our team since 2022. He’s a graduate of the Highland K9 School’s Master Dog Trainer program, where he worked with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, gaining invaluable experience. His dedication earned him recognition for helping shelter dogs receive training that ultimately led them to their forever homes.

Before pursuing his passion for dog training, Steve served 11 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. A lifelong dog lover, training came naturally to him. At home, he shares his life with Daisy, an 8-year-old German Shepherd mix rescued from a South Carolina shelter, and her energetic little brother, Kovu Mann—a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois who’s always ready to work, play, and of course, enjoy a good belly rub.

trainer

Beckie’s love for animals began early, starting her training journey with horses at just 13 years old. She cared for them, exercised them, and competed in various equestrian disciplines. Her passion for animal care led her into the veterinary field, where she supported clients and their pets through all stages of care. It was during this time that Beckie discovered her true calling—dog training. After witnessing dogs come into the clinic fearful, reactive, or aggressive, she knew she wanted to help them build confidence and navigate stressful situations more calmly.

Beckie has trained under several experienced dog trainers and continues to grow her knowledge through seminars and hands-on experience. She’s also active in the Protection Sports Association (PSA) as a handler and is expanding her skills in decoying.

She shares her life with three incredible dogs—Cadence (German Shepherd mix), Tyr (Belgian Malinois), and Redd (Dutch Shepherd)—each of whom has played a role in shaping her as a trainer. Beckie looks forward to helping you and your dog grow into the strongest team possible.
