At Beau’s K9 Academy, we believe training should fit into your life—not the other way around. Our Hybrid In-Home Dog Training program is built to deliver the structure of professional obedience training with the flexibility and convenience of working from your own home.
This unique program blends private, in-home instruction with customized weekly guidance and ongoing trainer support. Whether you’re working on the basics or addressing behavioral concerns, our hybrid approach helps you and your dog build lasting habits where they matter most—at home, on your walks, and in everyday life.
Commands Your Dog Will Learn:
- Sit: Teaching impulse control and attention.
- Down: Helping with calm behavior and relaxation.
- Stay: Building reliability, even around distractions.
- Place: Teaching your dog to settle on a defined spot (like a mat or bed).
- Come: Reliable response to return when called, even at a distance.
- Loose Leash Walking & Heel: Walking politely by your side, no pulling.
What’s Included in Your In-Home Training Program:
- Four 1-Hour Private In-Home Sessions: One of our experienced, certified trainers will work with you and your dog right in your home, offering personalized guidance in the environment where most behavior issues naturally occur. These focused sessions allow us to address your dog’s specific needs while showing you how to reinforce the training on your own time.
- Customized Weekly Homework Plans: After each lesson, you’ll receive an easy-to-follow training plan outlining exercises, commands to reinforce, and tips for correcting unwanted behaviors. These assignments are designed to fit your schedule and build momentum from week to week.
- On-Call Support & Accountability: Got a question between lessons? Need help troubleshooting a behavior issue that pops up? We’re here for that. You’ll have direct access to your trainer throughout the program for advice, clarification, or encouragement as you work through the training process.
- Behavior-Focused, Goal-Oriented Training: Whether you’re training a new puppy, dealing with stubborn behavior, or refreshing your adult dog’s manners, our training is always customized to your dog’s age, temperament, and learning pace

Paul has changed our life in the best way possible. He really does speak “dog”. During our first conversation he gave us invaluable tips on our upcoming trip since our dogs didn’t get along the best. Now our dogs know how to walk on a leach, heal, stop when I stop, sit, place, and down. Paul really has given us our home and life back.

Yes of course! If you are looking for a refresher or just want to know a tip in your own training progress we offer free individual lessons that don’t come with a program cost.
Beau’s K-9 Academy uses science-proven and field-tested balanced training methods. We use what’s best for your dog’s success and will also build a plan according to your dog’s needs and training goals.
We train all breeds of dogs from tea-cup poodles to Great Danes! All dogs are welcome at BK9A.
We recommend that people enroll in our puppy development courses as early as possible to take advantage of that crucial state of 8 to 16 weeks when the pups are the most impressionable. Getting professional help at this young age significantly lowers the risk of bad behaviors forming and causing problems later on in the training pipeline!
That answer depends on the reason for training. If your dog is scared of new places, we recommend in-facility training since we cover the problem for the call in the training.
